Summary of Personal Activities:
Erwu Liu received his MSc and PhD degrees in 1998 and 2001, respectively, both from the Department of Opto-Electronic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, CHINA.
In 2001, he joined Alcatel-Lucent as a project manager, and then a senior research scientist at the Research & Innovation (R&I) Center.
In 2007, he left Alcatel-Lucent and joined Imperial College London as a post-doctoral researcher (Research Associate).
Dr. Liu is a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy (ALTA), the ACM and the IEEE.
He has rich experience on both academia and industry, from wired, optical, to wireless networks.
Currently, his research interests include: Network Utility Maximization (NUM), Scheduling, Opportunistic Resource Allocation, QoS, Cooperative Routing, Cross-Layer Optimization in wireless networks, etc.
