This module covers a series of important non-technical aspects of engineering. The module contains a series of lectures given by different experts on the topics of ethics in engineering, sustainability, global development challenges and health and safety risk management. Group discussion exercises are used to give you the opportunity to reflect on some of the topics covered in the module.

By the end of the module you should be able to
- Plan an assessment of the ethical implications of a project effectively - Summarise the key human development challenges - Evaluate and organise an assessment of the environmental impact of a project - Create and validate a list of health and safety risks associated with an activity - Explain in plain words the main global sustainability challenges Syllabus
