ELEC60008 Control EngineeringLecturer(s): Prof Alessandro Astolfi Aims
Control Engineering is a second level course which aims to introduce state-space methods for the analysis and design of control systems.
Learning Outcomes
This advanced course in Control Engineering covers some aspects of dynamical systems modelling, and control systems analysis and design. It provides the foundation for specialist studies in the control area and for work in industrial control.
Syllabus
Abstract dynamical systems; differential and difference equations; state space models; Lyapunov stability; structural properties (controllability and observability); Kalman decomposition; pole placement via state feedback and dynamic output feedback; observer design.
