The module will introduce you to the discipline of project management within an engineering organisational context. You will consider the life cycle of engineering projects, and a range of tools and strategies to be applied at each of the stages covered. Guest speakers with relevant experience will supplement and illustrate the theory covered in class with industrial case studies and examples.

Upon successful completion of this module you will be able to:
1. Lead and manage innovative technological projects within an engineering context;
2. Manage teams within an organisational context;
3. Anticipate and accommodate risk and change during the life of a project;
4. Apply a range of tools to the planning, implementation, management and budgeting of engineering projects
