To provide the students with an introduction to, and experience of, some advanced modern control methodologies.

Learning Outcomes

Understanding of 5 modern approaches to control and experience of the use of 3 of them.


The course consists of five 2-hour lectures on the five different topics described below. The course will be examined by requiring a substantial amount of coursework to be carried out on 3 of the topics, freely selected from the 5 by the student.
