ELEC94006 EIE1 Electronics Lab

Aims

The laboratory course aims to foster best practice in experimental work, while supporting the lecture courses and giving practical exposure to real systems.

Learning Outcomes

-Use practical and laboratory skills to realise theoretical concepts and advance understanding.
-Carry out practical work safely
-Make and understand electrical measurements using test instruments
-Design and debug electronic circuits
-Create interfaces between software and electronic hardware

Syllabus

**Term 1:
-Signals & Scope - introduction to electrical signals and measurement
-EEEBug - introduction to electronic circuit construction
-Digital logic - simulation of digital circuits
-Passive networks - investigate behaviour of electronic components
**Term 2:
-Opamps - introduction to opamps and opamp circuits
-Embedded microprocessor - incorporating bare-bones computers in electronic circuits
-FPGA - implement complex digital systems
